                                   ASSOCIATED WITH GANDHIJI



                                 SABARMATI ASHRAM



























           Sabarmati Ashram, near Ahmedabad, was the home of Mahatma

           and  Kasturba  Gandhiji  and  a  key  center  of  India’s  freedom

           movement. From here, Gandhiji began the Dandi March. Today, it

           stands  as  a  historic  site  symbolizing  India’s  struggle  for

           independence.

         Ahmedabad played a crucial role in Mahatma Gandhi’s life, as it was

         here that he emerged as “Bapu” and began India’s freedom struggle

         and his fight against untouchability. In 1915, he settled in Kochrab

         village  near  Paldi,  where  he  established  the  Satyagraha  Ashram,

         marking the beginning of his transformative work in the city
