In ancient time, India was known as the “Sone Ki Chidiya“(The Golden
Sparrow) now the world is wondering how India, a country of illiterates, is
getting digitalized in all the areas.
Before the inception of Biometric Fingerprint, illiterate people were called
'Angutha-Chhaap' but now with the evolution of Biometric Fingerprint, our
thumb have become Digital.
A Tribute to the greatest Economist, Social Reformer and the Father of Indian
Constitution: "Dr B.R.Ambedkar's mantra was to work for the upliftment of the
poor. And the biggest power of technology is that it can empower the poor. "
The adoption of technology has empowered the poorest of the poor, illiterate
population, small business and the marginalized section.
The digital thumb has bridged the gap between illiterate and literate, between
rural and urban, between Local and National, and between National and
Global. It has become our identity now.
ROLE OF POST OFFICE IN DIGITAL INDIA:
Now the unbanked rural population is being
provided all the digital service at their door step
by the India Post through a Biometric in a
second.
Earlier the inked thumb was used to do the
transaction and it took so much time to
complete the transaction but now just in a single
touch of thumb, the transaction is being
completed without any security threat and

the tremendous transformation of India Post.
