My participation in the Public Procurement Principles training at the
Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad (22.09.2025 to

26.09.2025), offered valuable insights into the evolving framework of
transparent, efficient, and accountable procurement practices in the

       government organization.

The program emphasized that procurement today is not merely a

procedural activity but a strategic function essential to good governance and
sustainable development. We explored global best practices, including value-

for-money principles, e-procurement mechanisms, and integrity safeguards that
ensure fairness and efficiency in every stage of the procurement cycle.

A key learning was the importance of capacity building, ethical standards,

and professional competence among procurement officers to prevent delays,
improve compliance, and enhance public trust.

Overall, the training reaffirmed that sound procurement management—

rooted in integrity, accountability, and innovation—is fundamental to
strengthening public institutions and delivering better outcomes for citizens.
